Artist Statement:
I wanted to create a positive piece during these unchartered times. I chose the theme of every cloud having a silver lining, but in this case added a gold lining. I believe our society’s unique spirit of independence and generosity have been demonstrated during these challenging times – the gold lining on these storm clouds.
As far as the ring, I love the contrast of oxidized silver against warm yellow gold. The hand texture offers even more contrast and visual interest to the staggered planes. Each of my designs is unique. I cut, fabricate, texture, and solder all metal pieces by hand.
